This policy covers what happens to your information when you visit this website or fill out the contact form. Dean Web Co. is a sole proprietorship operated by Milena Dean, and this site does not sell your information, run ad-tracking scripts, or share what you submit with anyone outside of running the business.
Information collected
When you submit the contact form, the site collects whatever you enter into it, typically your name, email address, business name, project details, and phone number if you choose to provide one. This is processed directly by Netlify's form-handling service and delivered to Dean Web Co.; it isn't sent to or stored by any other third party.
This site also uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it, which pages get visited, how long people stay, general location (city/country level, not a precise address), and the type of device and browser used. Google Analytics collects this automatically through cookies. See the Analytics and Cookies sections below for details.
How it's used
Information submitted through the contact form is used for one purpose: to respond to your inquiry and, if you move forward, to complete the project you're asking about. It isn't used for marketing lists, isn't sold, and isn't shared with third parties except where noted below.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to see general trends in traffic, like which pages get visited and how people find the site, so the content can be improved over time. Google Analytics does not receive your name or email address from this site. It's aggregate, statistical data, not information tied to who you are personally.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using Google's opt-out browser add-on, or by using your browser's built-in tracking protection or a private/incognito window. Google's own privacy practices for this data are covered in the Google Privacy Policy.
Third-party services
This site relies on a small number of outside services to function:
- Netlify — hosts the site and processes contact form submissions.
- Google Fonts — loads the typefaces used on this site. Loading a font makes a request to Google's servers, which may log basic technical data like your IP address, separately from anything Dean Web Co. controls.
- Google Analytics — measures overall site traffic and usage patterns, as described above.
If a project for this site later adds another analytics tool or a booking service, this policy will be updated to name that service specifically before it goes live.
Advertising
This site does not currently run any paid advertising or ad-tracking. If Google Ads is added in the future, it would involve additional cookies used to measure ad performance and conversions, which is a different category from the analytics cookies described above and carries its own disclosure obligations. Before that happens, this policy will be updated to name Google Ads specifically, describe what it collects, and provide an opt-out method, in the same way Google Analytics is disclosed above.
Cookies
This site uses cookies set by Google Analytics to distinguish visitors and measure site usage. These are not advertising cookies, and this site does not run ad-retargeting or sell any data collected through them. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser's settings; doing so won't affect your ability to browse the site or use the contact form.
Data retention
Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, for the duration of the working relationship plus standard recordkeeping. You can request that your information be deleted at any time, see contact details below.
Your choices
You can ask, at any time, to see what information has been collected about you, request it be corrected, or request it be deleted. Reach out using the contact information below and this will be handled directly, no automated system or third-party request portal involved.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for business owners and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the "last updated" date at the top of this page will change to reflect it.
